at Suzhou Cobblers is handmade -- and that takes time. Please allow about
seven weeks for delivery to the U.S. and Europe. Since we keep only limited
stock for each style, chances are your shoes will be made to order. Our air shipping rates from China have been negotiated with DHL and UPS. It is very important to pick the correct region for your order. Otherwise DHL and UPS will send it back to us. We don't have any wiggle room on these charges and we aren't making any money on the shipping part of the business. Let me explain our "no returns" policy. We created an online shop to complement our Shanghai boutique and specifically to satisfy the customers who have written to us from overseas asking us to send another pair or two. Now we can do that. We don't have the capability to accept returns. These are the same high quality, handmade silk shoes and slippers we feature in our boutique. While we don't expect all of our customers to have visited us on the Shanghai Bund, we do want everyone to trust in the high quality of our craftsmanship. We also want everyone to know each pair is made by hand and inspected with rigor before we ship it out -- the same process we use before displaying a pair on our boutique shelves. Many customers will consider a source of comfort our account with PayPal, the most trusted name in online commerce.
